Glam Seamless - Poor customer service after product came undone
Updated by user Jul 12, 2018

7/11/18 update: NEVER heard back from Glam Seamless. I see their post on social media and they literally delete all negative reviews.

Original review Jun 12, 2018
I reached out to the Glam Seamless team when one of my tape-in extensions became 'undone' after their first wash. There was no heat applied and they were professionally installed. Their response was to blame my stylist (see attached photo). They even asked for her name and number saying they would call her and advise her how to properly install the extensions (can't make this stuff up) . This was all via email. After asking for a refund, there was no follow-up. I would not recommend purchasing any products from this company. The customer service is horrible. Also - I attached a photo of their response. I'm no grammatical guru but I had to read their response twice just to make sense of it.

donna bella or bellami. These are very real complaints and I'm glad I saw them prior to ordering

Guest

Alyssa, I’m assuming you’re affiliated or wouldn’t take the time to rebuff a customer complaint (strange). That said - I NEVER hear back from glam seamless. Product aside, the customer service is horrible. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Guest

I wear the tape ins from them and my tape ins never come out...Truly must be your hairstylist.

Guest

That is their typical response. Its your stylist.

Right... I had the same problem and they said that I should have upgraded to their more expensive tape. Um shouldnt the tape that you sent me with the extensions work? Why should I need to upgrade to get them to stay in for more than one wash??

Awful service. They should be out of business by this point.

This is Barbie Hair, READ THIS BEFORE BUYING

Glam Seamless - This is Barbie Hair, READ THIS BEFORE BUYING
Glam Seamless - This is Barbie Hair, READ THIS BEFORE BUYING
Listen, do not buy this hair. I've been wearing human hair extensions for 10 years. I started with clip ins from Sally's Beauty, and then upgraded to Milk + Blush human hair clips. After 3 years I decided I wanted tape-ins and my hair dresser told me to get Babe extensions which she swears buy. I had my set of Babe tape ins for OVER A YEAR... because that's how good the quality was. My hair stayed perfect for over a year. I would move them up myself, cut them, tone them, curl them, treat them like my very own hair and they were always perfect. Never got ratty, never tangled, EVER... you get the point. Well, I live in France now and I don't have my hairdresser anymore which means I don't have access to Babe hair. It was finally time for a new set so after much research I landed on Glam Seamless, truthfully because of their marketing (I thought a company with such a beautiful website and Instagram must have a solid product to back it up, right????). Wrong. I ordered 2 sets of their 18 inch Remy Human Hair Tape Ins in (Ash Blonde 60) for a whopping $300. I received them and they looked lovely so I was excited. However, while sitting in the chair of my colorist getting my highlights done - having already bought the hair - I decide to run a google search for reviews of Glam Seamless and my jaw DROPPED. There was not a SINGLE good review. I sat there, holding the already-opened hair that I'm about to apply, reading from hundreds of women saying they are the worst hair they've ever purchased. So I am obviously panicking but there's nothing I can do now so we install them. The first few days are fine, they're silky - but almost TOO silky which in my opinion is a bad sign - you know what I mean? When they're like FAKE silky? They don't feel real? Yeah, like that. Fast forward to my first 2 weeks with the hair. I have never had hair this bad in my life. They tangle on their own and turn into this giant matted mess of Barbie hair, ON THEIR OWN. I take good care of my hair. I use a deep conditioner twice a week, I wide-tooth-comb my conditioner through and let it sit, I meticulously use my wet brush after a shower, I air dry, I am good to my hair. And none of it matters with Glam Seamless hair. With this hair I will do all the steps, dry it, and then curl it into relaxed waves, lay down on my bed for 2 seconds, and then when I sit up I have a BALL OF MATTED HAIR from doing nothing. It's not like I'm on my bed rolling my head around. Nope, I sit down, stand up, hair is in a ball. Some other girl on here described them as Barbie hair and honestly that is the only way to describe them - Barbie hair. Like it get's wildy frizzy and large. The texture feels exactly like a Barbie's hair who has gotten wet - spongey, frizzy, like you could bounce on it... it doesn't lay flat, it does not brush out, it does not de-tangle. I even cut off a piece and burned it to find out if it's real hair because I would have bet my life it's not and yet by SOME MIRACLE it is in fact human hair... just the *** human hair on planet earth. Like I don't know what in god's name Glam Seamless does to their hair to turn natural human hair into this frankenstein monstrosity, but it's deplorable. I am kicking myself constantly for not reading these reviews BEFORE purchasing. Trust me, please do not buy this hair. One time, in a very desperate situation I bought *** hair off amazon (straight from china) for $20, and that hair was better quality than this Glam Seamless hair. I've had this hair for about 2 months now and it just gets worse. Lately I have had to resort to SOAKING MY HEAD IN FABRIC SOFTENER just to get them to look somewhat okay. Where did I come up with that solution? Well, I saw an article saying fabric softener will revive Barbie hair and I thought hey, I'm wearing Barbie hair on my head so let's try it out, and low and behold it actually helps. Yes you heard me, I have a jug of Downy fabric softener in my shower because that is how bad this hair is. See photos of said matting, and that is after brushing it thoroughly. The ONLY thing I will say that could possibly account for how bad this hair is is that I bought the Remy Human Hair, which means they've been colored. Maybe there is a chance the Virgin Human Hair ones are better. I personally will not be the one to test them and find out but.... maybe someone out there can report back? Godspeed ladies, don't buy the hair.

Yes! worst hair ever!

Milk and Blush is trash though! They matte up and turn all dry like that.

How long ago to use them?

I’ve bought from them a few times since they’ve been dirty looks and they are the worst extensions I’ve ever had in my life! And they don’t even respond to their one form of contact (email)!

Guest

Wow, thxs! Seeing their product in picture made me change my mind instantly. Thanks you just saved me a ton of money!!!

Exactly the info I'm looking for.Thank you ladies for your honest reviews! It help other women out there who are looking for good hair.I wish I didn't have to resort to using stupid extensions but after losing 60% of my once thick, waist length healthy hair from thyroid disease, I'm stuck with *** flat, thin shoulder length shit**y hair.I believe long hair is SO MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE than short it nedium length hair ( I hate it ).For now I wear the Halo type but out of 8 Halo hair purchases, I gave only found ONE to be genuine quality hair and it happens to be the first one I bought and it got candle wax all in it I had to cut it and since then I've been searching for quality non frizzy tangled flyaway *** Barbie doll hair!

I'm SICK OF IT!These companies who advertise "quality" "100% human" and " soft, shiny" need to back their claims & not just for the first 3 hours of wearing it. Paying $100's of dollars for junk is not going to work for me.I was looking into this company to buy a halo extension and Now I WILL NOT be buying from Glam Seamless. Regardless of what their response was! And it's obvious the anonymous who wrote in and said the girl didn't take care of them right is a moron and obviously works for Glam.

Duh. No thanks you're an ***

I read a review to wash synthetic wigs with fabric softer and water. This helps with shine and to detangle.

I tried it with this product and it definitely helped. I can't say 100 percent it's all synthetic but something is definitely kosher.

Mine only lasted 2 weeks before looking like a rats nest . Judging from the amount of reviews recently I truly hope this company is held accountable.

Guest

Post a review on their yelp. They consistently steal people’s money. It’s because the owner hates herself and the world.

Guest

Hair is completely fake. I had the same problem with this brand.

Too many people have in fact had the same problem with this company, which should tell you something.

I am sure she didnt spend $600 on extensions to not properly take care of them. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Guest

The hair is not fake you just don't know how to take care of it.

I receive my extensions a month and a half ago and when I took them out of the box they were frizzy. I called customer service and I told them what happened and the girl on the other line literally told me to use a hair mask on them!

Day one she wants music hair mask??! I said I will see what I could do because I really wanted to use my extensions. I could only use them for maybe a total of eight hours not in one day, and then I noticed one of the clips weren’t working. Since I was already emailed a label, I called customer service back and they said even though I had open the package and cut them, they still wanted to satisfy Me and make sure the customer service to was to my liking and told me to mail them back.

Fast forward to weeks later I was given an order ID number after I was given the runaround telling me the manager wasn’t available by phone but yet the girl I was speaking to just texted her and got an order ID for me and now nobody will answer the number since my cell phone number is pulling up my account every time I call into the center. They are holding my hair extensions hostage Because they have not returned the ones I sent back and they have not sent out my new hair extensions. Not only am I calling the attorney general I am also calling the Better Business Bureau. I cannot believe they literally think they are going to steal peoples money like this.

The product is average at best. I have hair extensions that were a fraction of the price where the clippings still work and the hair is still holding up. I say buyer beware and do not waste your money. Also, one of the responses was literally written in some Asian language which I believe was Chinese or Japanese.

It was not a Korean. And that in itself tells you it was spam. If I do not hear back from someone tomorrow, I guarantee you I will wind up getting them sometime this week after they get the phone call they are going to get. This one is not playing at all the better return my original extensions back to me and or exchange My hair extensions ASAP!

I didn’t even have them for more than three weeks! And I definitely did not wear them for three weeks

My extensions knot up constantly. I have to brush them every 5 minutes or they knot and matte up. I use high end products, deep conditioning masks, lotions, oils, leave in conditioner ... I even will soak them in coconut oil for 12 hours and nothing helps. I’ve used extensions for over 7 years. These are terrible. I’d never buy again or recommend to anyone.

Expensive POOR Quality Hair Extensions

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently purchased Remy Tape-In hair extensions from Glam Seamless and was excited to get them. I soon realized I should NOT have been! Each weft contained so many hard pieces of "hair". They were wiry and frizzy and this was right out of the package. I tried some Miracle 7 conditioner on them and they shrunk up and were unusable! I also purchased the Glam Strands and they would NOT stay in my hair at all (and yes, they were installed correctly). I spent over $200 on hair extensions that I cannot even wear!! Glam Seamless really should inspect every order as the hair I received cannot possibly be real human hair!! FAKE HAIR AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!

I paid $250 for clip in extensions. The way that the hair was packaged made it almost impossible to tell if it really matched my hair without taking it out (which voids the ability to return). Of course they didn't match but then I was stuck with them. I'll say that this can be avoided by just doing the color match they offer from the beginning, so won't deduct points on them for that. HOWEVER, one of my clips was bent and broken and didn't work, and with just putting it in my hair once to see, two clips came loose because of the *** thread/sewing job. I went to their website to see if I could leave feedback and didn't see anything. Very annoyed that I spent $250 for extensions that don't even have secured clips. Next, I brought it to my hair dresser to try and color match and she struggled to get the hair to take color. My problem with the color is that my hair is made up of much cooler blonde tones and the dirty blonde is way too golden. She tried to put highlights in it but it did not take. Now I'm out $300 and have hair extensions that don't match, with 3 broken clips. I'm going to try one more thing, and if that doesn't work then I'm going to cry as I throw away $300 worth of failed hopes and dreams.

Glam Seamless Hair Extension Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I lost 5 pieces of tape-in extensions in the first week after installation. Their tape sucks! Hair quality is ok so far, but they really need to upgrade their tape to make it stickier. I've worn extensions for 10 yrs, and with other brands of tape-ins, will usually only lose 1 or 2 pieces in a six week period. There is definitely a problem with this product!

Such a shame Glam Seamless doesn't feature a review tab on their company FB...probably for GOOD reason. I've purchased six packs of tape-ins this past year, excellent quality. Purchase a set of clip-in 22"...mind you, there's no sample weft before you open & void the warranty. I opened them assuming I was in good hands because I've purchase from them before, absolutely terrible. I immediately contacted them via email the Friday I received them. I let them know I was a frequent buyer & this product doesn't come close to the quality I've received from them before. They asked for a pic Monday, I sent 2 pics explaining I tried to smooth them & clearly you can see how RATTED these extensions are!! They came thin, not true to volume from root to ends & had split ends....they responded to my pics & stated they would offer 50$ to my next purchase. There will NEVER be a next purchase with this company. They said they can no longer re-sale them because I opened them & tried them on ONCE. I'm no stranger to hair extensions, this was absolutely the worst product. Offered no resolutions that make up for the $250 loss I'm about to toss in the trash. They can't resale this garbage so I guess I will *** the 250$ bullet & go order a set from a better company. Thanks for nothin Glam Seamless!!

Resolved: Frustrating customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Apr 15, 2015

Here's a little update to my review! So since I posted my review the owner got in contact with me and helped work everything out!

She was super helpful and nice! Like I've said before a lot of people have had a good experience with this company and after talking to the owner I do believe that this is a good company. As a small shop owner I know that not every single transaction will be perfect but it's how you deal with the problems that matters.

I feel that ultimately I got help and really appreciate that the owner cares about their company so much. Based on all the positive reviews out there for this company I'm sure my experience was a pretty rare one and I believe this is a good company.

Original review Mar 02, 2015
I'm writing this review to save others from my experience. Let me start by saying I don't think this company is all bad and I picked this brand because I read a few positive reviews. All these positive reviews now leave me frustrated though because I had such a horrible experience and I don't understand how anyone could have a positive one. Okay so when I first got the extensions I thought they were good, they felt soft and they were shiny and instead of the 18" I ordered they accidentally sent me 22" so that seemed cool. I have to say they are EXTREMELY thin. I ended up buying another pack and was accidentally sent the same length again and was pleased. I had to wait a week to get them applied so I kept them in a safe spot and in good condition. When the day came to apply the tape in extensions I noticed even before they were on my head they seemed to tangle very easily but I trusted everything would be fine. I was so wrong. Two packs of their hair( which is very expensive) looked horrible. To even make the hair look okay I would have had to buy two more packs and i'm not made of money. It took a lot of styling to make the hair look acceptable and I figured i'd try it for a few days before calling my stylist and having her remove them. I took extra care of them, you are supposed to use special hair care products and a special brush so keep that in mind, luckily I already had the special care products. The short time that I had these extensions in I found that they got tangled very easily and hair just kept falling out, it was really just cringe worthy so I took them out with coconut oil myself. I figured having short healthy hair was better than having extensions that just did not want to work with me. Now for the worst part of this experience, the customer service. Sure, when I was asking questions before I got them applied they were kind and helpful but when I had a problem they were quick to play the blame game. They made me feel like it was all my fault, they implied I didn't take care of them and insisted they would not give me a refund. I'l' admit that I got pretty upset. After spending over $200 on such a bad experience who wouldn't? It just felt like everything I said to them was ignored and like they didn't view me as a customer anymore. After emailing them back and forth for what seems like forever they finally broke their no refund policy and will now *MAYBE* give me a refund if I spend even more money to send the hair back to them so they can examine it . They ignored my email, so I emailed them again and they replied by saying they need to examine the hair. I ask AGAIN how exactly is the hair tested and I was ignored for about a week so I sent another email asking to know exactly how the hair is tested and no reply still. It seems really odd to me that they won't tell me how the hair is tested. Again, this company must not be all bad because there are positive reviews. I'm posting this so people know that they need to be careful with this company because they say they will help you but from my experience that isn't true. It's been exhausting, it's been upsetting losing all my money I invested in this, and I would never recommend this company(unless maybe you have very thin, straight, healthy hair already.) This company may not be all bad but since there is such a bad possible outcome i'd recommend just going with another company to be safe. While looking for negative reviews to see if anyone shared my experience I noticed that the company comments on every negative comment made about them to try and deny it and that seems pretty weird to me, the way you deal with problems isn't to just deny them. On the bright side I went to sally's and got real hair extensions on sale for about $50 and they're 3x thicker than two packs of glam seamless and they've worked amazing so if you need a cheaper alternative I highly recommend those! I wish my experience was as good as some others but I guess you win some you lose some. I'll keep everyone updated in case I finally get a refund! Oh by the way I spent about $247 total on two packs and it's barely any hair at all.

I had the exact same problems with these extensions. The quality was awful and they ruined my natural hair. This purchase was a huge, expensive mistake.

Guest

Oh my goodness. I can imagine how frustrating that was, especially given their reply.

That wasn't an appropriate rebuttal and it certainly didn't address the problems. The wrong people in charge of PR and customer care can cost you.

Thank you for the review. I planned to purchase these, but will not risk dealing with them.

Hello Erin,

We are sorry that you had that customer service experience it sounds like there was a misunderstanding-and we aren't "denying" anything. As our website states you need two to three packs of hair extensions for a full look.

This is one of the most cost effect hair extension methods out there for semi-permanent hair extensions. Totaling around $500 for the hair and install for tape extensions, where other hair extension methods start at $1500. The hair lasts for three months and is reusable. We have made our hair affordable and it is for those who know hair extension prices.

Our remy hair in single drawn, meaning slightly thinner ends. You complained about them being thin. Some people prefer that to have a more natural look. Our Extra Virgin hair is double drawn and thick all the way to the end.

Our hair is slightly more expensive because we use higher quality hair and eco friendly natural products-which allow a longer lasting hair extension. With proper care and use of hair care products the hair doesn't tangle or mat ever.

You say that your hair fell out, did you use one of our certified professionals? Glam Seamless tape in hair extensions never fall out.

We know this because we wear the hair ourselves. The hair only falls out if the hair wasn't applied properly. These extensions are not DIY and must be put in by someone who has experience. There are certain techniques that need to be done to make sure that they stay in.

We teach stylists that in our online education course which is why we recommend using one of our trusted professionals listed online who was certified with us.

I want to personally say we are sorry for your experience. If someone didn't respond they were not ignoring you, we just have a lot of customers all over the world so it can take a day to get back. Glam Seamless cares about our customers and our brand.

We work hard to have amazing products at a fair price. Our price is lower than a lot of the top brands, yet our hair quality is just as good. We wish you the best with your hair extension search and if you ever need hair please use code GLAM for 10% off your order plus free shipping.

Thank you for the feedback.

We strive to make our customers happy and have the best hair.

99% of our customers are happy. If you need anything else or want this resolved simply email our customer support team.

I actually ordered 3 packs (60 wefts) and was more than enough. Hair was thick and seemed to be good quality.

In a couple of weeks. it tangled and matted so badly, stylist was even unable to untangle and had to remove almost half of the bonds on the right side of my head.

I am a veteran tape in hair extension wearer with almost 4 years straight of salon installed tape in hair (another salon only brand).

I was very happy with the thickness of the wefts but extremely unhappy with how the hair tangled within a few hours one afternoon of normal wear. I truly don't understand how they extensions tangled so severely.

Never had an experience like this prior.

Usually, I spent about 600-700 dollars prior in salon for just hair and additional for install but lasted about 9 months at least.

I spent over $400 for hair from glam seamless but lasted less than a month before tangling into a ball. I am quiet unsatisfied and perplexed.
